RELIXSTYLZ is a hip-hop artist living in Oakland, California. In his creative work he translates perspectives on urban life into the verbal, visual, and musical languages of hip-hop culture, producing critical understandings of social, political, and aesthetic experience. He is especially interested in the intersection of music and narrative, and how hip-hop, more than any other music since the blues, celebrates the creation of stories that can appear merely incredible, transgressive, or violent, but are made convincing and meaningful by the teller.
